Horgan prevails again

It was a night of mixed emotions in Markets Field on Friday with Limerick’s relegation a sad consequence of a turbulent year.

They lacked the stability to survive in the Premier Division and that’s the challenge facing Finn Harps.

In Ollie Horgan, they do have a safe pair of hands and the club deserve credit for sticking by their man when they suffered relegation last term.

Horgan is an extremely popular character, notorious for his tendency to play down expectations. In the celebrations after their playoff win, he warned that Harps would go down again without fresh investment.

He has earned the chance to work with a stronger hand.
