Bohs pair opt to take up new challenges
BOHEMIANS have been weakened by the loss of first-choice centrehalves Dan Casey and Ian Morris.
Cork City have beaten St Patrick’s Athletic to the signature of promising ex-Sunderland defender Casey (21) who has agreed a two-year deal with the Leesiders. Bohs had made attempts to keep hold of the Dubliner but the offer of full-time football was too good to turn down.
Meanwhile, Morris (31) has been confirmed as Shelbourne’s new boss. The Irish Independent reported last week that Morris was the frontrunner for the post. He is set to retire from playing to concentrate on trying to steer Shels to promotion in 2019.
