Mask Magic

-

They’ve been one of the biggest skincare trend in recent years and I find myself reaching for a sheet mask whenever my skin needs an extra dose of TLC. A sheet mask won’t solve all your skin worries nor will its effects last forever but if it makes you sit still and switch off for 10 minutes once a week, would you pass that up? FOR THE FACE: I tend to stay away from clay mask products because they can be sometimes overpriced for the ingredients that they contain. However, I do love Beauty Pro 3D Clay Sheet Mask,

€7.95. This two-part mask wraps around the face and provides a great purifying treatment without the mess of a regular clay mask. It leaves skin feeling clean, plump and energised — a perfect mid-week pamper treat. FOR THE EYES: A combination of late nights and working across two different time zones recently has left my eyes feeling tired, heavy and puffy which is how I discovered

Patchology Flashpatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels,

€14. The gels contain caffeine which boosts micro-circulation helping decrease puffiness while the hydrolysed collagen improves hydration and elasticity. They come in a pack of five pairs and what I love most about these gels is that you only need to use them for five minutes to see results. FOR THE GUYS: One of the main reasons why I’m not 100pc won over by sheet masks is that many tend to be more ‘novelty’ products rather than effective highquality skincare. This is especially prevalent in mens’ grooming. However, one of my favourite releases for men this year, is Barber Pro’s Post Shave Cooling Mask, €5.95. It instantly cools and soothes the skin post-shave thanks to its natural ingredients of tea tree oil, witch hazel, lemon and aloe vera. It calms redness while nourishing the skin. Simple, useful, effective.
