THE fertile lands around the north Co Dublin village of Lusk, like nearby Rush, are the market garden of Leinster. But Lusk has also become popular since the turn of the millennium with commuters to the city centre — 23km away — in search of affordable housing.

The threebed, mid-terrace design costs from €325,000, while the three-bed, end-of-terrace type is priced from €345,000 and the three-bed, semi-detached style costs from €350,000. All the three-bed designs have 1,205 sq ft of living space.
The Forge has a stone entrance and large communal open spaces that were landscaped with extensive planting by Ronan MacDiarmuida & Associates. The two-storey homes have a red-brick, traditional-style facade with large, ivory-coloured picture UPVC windows and a black hardwood front door. The front driveway, set behind brick boundary walls, is cobble-locked and separated from that of neighbouring properties by hedging. There is a garden with planted trees both to the front and rear.
Inside, there is recessed lighting throughout the sitting room and the kitchen/diner.
