OLYMPIC medal-winning hero Annalise Murphy took some time out from her busy training schedule to announce the winners of the 2018 Dublin Bus Community Spirit Awards.
The sailor, who was joined by mini superheroes Rhys Higgins (9), from Saggart, Khloe Flood (9), from Kildare, Maisie McLeod (5), from Coolock, and Maddox Meers (8), from Swords, announced the 85 voluntary and community groups winners.
This year’s top groups who win €5,000 are Cooking for Freedom, a group set up by asylum seekers; CARI, an organisation for child therapy; Acquired Brain Injury Ireland; Genesis Psychotherapy and Family Therapy Service; and Children in Hospital Ireland, which manages a volunteerled play facilitation service.
