Roche looks forward to Italian job with Florentia

STEPHANIE ROCHE has signed for Serie A side Florentia in the latest step of her football journey. The former Puskas Award contender (right) had confirmed last month that a deal with an Italian side had been agreed but they wanted to make the formal announcement. And Florentia unveiled Irish international Roche yesterday. “Delighted to announce I’ve signed for Florentia,” she said. “A very ambitious club with a great work ethic and some excellent individual players. The team have started the season well and I can’t wait to get involved.” The Dubliner was with Peamount when scoring the goal that propelled her to global prominence. She then had brief spells in France and America before penning a deal with Sunderland Ladies.
