Maguire twins appointed Slieve Russell ambassadors
LEONA and Lisa Maguire have been appointed as ambassadors for the Slieve Russell Hotel Golf & Country Club as they embark on their professional golf careers.
Having joined the golf and country club when they were just ten years old the girls have an already long-standing relationship with the resort and are both looking forward to representing the club as they play golf across the globe over the coming years.
Leona said: “We have had tremendous support from Slieve Russell Hotel Golf & Country Club throughout our amateur careers and very much look forward to representing this great club as we embark on our first full season as professional golfers.
“We are proud residents of County Cavan and we always look forward to coming home after being on our travels. Slieve Russell has great facilities, superb members and a first-class environment for both Lisa and I to work hard on our games. We cannot thank the club enough for their continued support.”
Lisa added: “We have had unwavering support from the local community in Cavan and Slieve Russell has continuously supported us throughout our whole careers.
“We love spending time at the club, and we take pride in being associated with this incredible place as we play our golf across the world.”
Tony Walker, General Manager of Slieve Russell, said the resort was proud of its association with the twins, who will be in action at the Ladies European Tour Qualifying School next Month, since the start of their careers.
