IRELAND RATINGS DANIEL McDONNELL
6 DARREN RANDOLPH
He didn’t really have a huge amount to do in terms of shot-shopping with Denmark wasting the better opportunities that fell their way.
6 RICHARD KEOGH
Almost gifted Denmark a winner when getting caught in possession at edge of the area but he was generally reliable apart from that.
6 KEVIN LONG
Angered the bench with an early, stray crossfield pass and it was more agricultural thereafter. Generally composed enough defensively.
5 CYRUS CHRISTIE
This midfield experiment makes for difficult viewing when it comes to taking possession under pressure. Works hard but there is no future in this.
6 JEFF HENDRICK
He showed he is more comfortable with the game ahead of him but the Dubliner might be relocated again when James McCarthy comes back.
6 AIDEN O’BRIEN
A thankless task for the Millwall player who was isolated for long spells and therefore ineffective. Hard to pick him out for criticism.
6 SEAMUS COLEMAN
The Ireland captain was resolute in terms of his defending but he was visibly upset with some of his own mistakes in the area of distribution.
7 SHANE DUFFY
He got pulled out of position at times on Thursday and was more disciplined here, with Denmark’s better chances coming from mistakes around him.
6 ENDA STEVENS
Started positively but did have a few let-offs when Denmark pushed down his side. The Sheffield United player is comfortable in the wing-back system.
5 ROBBIE BRADY
Still working his way back towards full fitness and he mixed good moments and bad in a game where he spent a lot of time shuffling around minus the ball.
5 CALLUM O’DOWDA
The Bristol City player is not featuring regularly for his club at the moment and he is capable of better than this. He was pegged back throughout.
5 MANAGER MARTIN O’NEILL
He got the result that his team was set up to achieve but it’s far from inspiring fare and no goals in October or November is a dire statistic.
