Adding a touch of guilt to your envy
CELEBRITY HOME OF THE YEAR 2018
RTÉ ONE, TONIGHT, 9.35pm
AFTER the festivities of the last few weeks, there’s a good chance that your house looks like a bomb hit it. Yes, while the rest of us deal with random bits of Christmas tree, discover discarded selection box wrappers under the sofa and the bins are overflowing with Christmas detritus, it would be easy to feel like you’ll never have a clean gaff again.

Celebrity Home Of The Year 2018 (RTÉ One, tonight, 9.35pm) will satisfy the nosy parkers among us when they step across the threshold of the homes belonging to the likes of John Boyne, Eleanor McEvoy and Jean Byrne.

The Truth About Vegans: Channel 4 Dispatches (Channel 4, tonight, 10pm) takes a look at the rise of veganism in the UK and the health benefits that accrue from a plant-based diet.
But while nobody would argue that we all eat too much meat, the rise of militant vegans in the last 18 months has become a public order issue.
Reporter Morland Sanders talks to some farmers who have been on the receiving of threats, harassment and violence from militant vegans. Intriguingly, Sanders also looks at the philosophy behind veganism, ‘speciesism’ – which really is as daft as it sounds...
National Geographic is running a special series of shows devoted to the internet this month and ahead of their big budget reconstruction of the early years of Silicon Valley, Valley Of The Bubble, tonight sees a fascinating two hour special, Inside The Internet: 50 Years Of Life Online (Nat Geo, 9pm).
