Davies to lead Wales

-

LIONS centre Jonathan Davies looks set to captain Wales for the first time against Italy on Sunday as Warren Gatland rings the changes.

The Welsh squad have spent the week in Nice between their meetings with France and Italy and the coach yesterday confirmed a 31-man squad for the round two trip to Rome.

With Alun Wyn Jones reportedly dropping to the bench, the player of the 2017 series is set to take over the captaincy, while Wasps backrow Thomas Young could be handed his first Six Nations start.

After beating France, Wales are expected to make it two wins from their opening two games.
