- MILLERSTOWN

Kilcock, Co Meath Asking price: €327,500 Agent: Hooke & MacDonald (01) 631 8402 or Coonan New Homes (01) 6286128

KILCOCK, a town on the Kildare-Meath border, has a unique claim to fame: it’s the only location in Europe where a road, a canal, a railway and a river all run side by side.

Millerstown looks out where the Rye river runs parallel to the Royal Canal. The name of the scheme is a nod to the town’s history of water-powered mills. Prices for this second phase start at €327,500 for a three-bed semi-detached house of 1,238 sq ft, at €395,000 for a four-bed version measuring between 1,464 sq ft and 1,582 sq ft, and at €500,000 for a five-bed detached style that has between 1,690 sq ft and 2,379 sq ft of accommodation.

There are brick and render front elevations, bay windows to some types, white-framed UPVC windows and doors, and an Ultratech front doors.

Internally, the houses are wider and larger than standard new-builds, with extra-high ceilings.

The houses are equipped with natural gas-fired central heating that can be controlled remotely. The A3-rated homes have PV panels on the roof.

Millerstown is a short walk from Kilcock train station — a rail service to Dublin takes about 25 minutes.

Viewings from 12.30pm to 2pm tomorrow and from 2.30pm to 4pm on Sunday.
