LUFTHANSA will closely examine the airline operations of Thomas Cook, considering current and likely future growth in the market segment, according to an interview with Lufthansa board member Harry Hohmeister.

He said he had “read with interest” reports that Thomas Cook will weigh options for its airline unit, and that there are too many airlines in Europe’s competitive market.
