Jockey for position near the Navan races

- COIS NA RÁSAÍ

Navan, Co Meath Asking price: From €385,000 Agent: Smith Harrington Auctioneers (046) 902 1113

THE Co Meath development Cois na Rásaí, which translates as “by the races”, is so named because it’s situated about 1km from Navan Racecourse on the northern outskirts of the town.

The scheme of fourbed detached homes, which is located off the Proudstown Road, beside the Simonstown Gaels GAA grounds, has been mostly attracting local first-time buyers and trader-uppers since it was launched in September. Of the 15 properties that make up the J. Davis Construction development, eight are still for sale.

The cheapest style at Cois na Rásaí is the B design, which measures 1,668 sq ft and is priced from €385,000. The next cheapest is the larger A type, which spans 1,806 sq ft and costs from €400,000, while the C design is the largest and most expensive, at 1,883 sq ft and €425,000, respectively. The latter house type kicks out to one side to make space for a larger kitchen/diner on the ground floor and a bigger bedroom on the first floor.

The traditional-style block-built houses have a brick-and-render façade, with sandstone to the front sills and surrounds of the high-performance tripleglazed uPVC windows. The front door has glazed panels either side.

The front cobble-lock driveway to each of the three-storey houses is paved in Kilsaran granite and has enough space to park two cars. There is a granite patio and a garden to the rear.

The A-type showhouse at Cois na Rásaí is open for viewings between 11am and 1pm tomorrow, or by appointment.
