Complimentary fit-outs in Temple Mills

TEMPLE MILLS Rathangan, Co Kildare Asking price: From €239, 950 Agent: Jordan Auctioneers (045) 433550 or Kelly Hudson (045) 430336

THE population of Rathangan, the Kildare town close to the Bog of Allen, and the number of transient workers housed in temporary camps swelled during the 1940s, when turf-cutting was stepped up to compensate for the loss of coal from abroad during the Second World War.

The subsequent slump in turf harvesting led to a decline in Rathangan’s fortunes, but the revival of Ireland’s economy in the 1990s and the extension of the M7 through nearby towns like Kildare and Monasterevin sparked a housing boom in the town.

Last year, Thoval Properties launched Temple Mills in Rathangan. A second phase, consisting of 10 three-bed and four-bed semi-detached homes, is being released this weekend. Prices start at €239,950 for a three-bed semi-detached style, which spans between 1,106 sq ft and 1,150 sq ft, and at €260,000 for a fourbed semi measuring between 1,280 sq ft and 1,370 sq ft. For a limited time, the prices include a fit-out of carpets, tiling, flooring and kitchen appliances.

The A-rated properties are equipped with an air-to-water heat pump system and high-output radiators, and commuters can use the M7 or rail service from Kildare or Newbridge.

Viewings at Temple Mills will be held between 11am and 1pm tomorrow.
