Getting to Limerick and all you need to know for the festival

The four-day Mr Binman Limerick Christmas Racing Festival gets underway on Thursday December 26 and runs for four days. Festival highlights include:

Free bus service to and from Limerick city centre each day

Seven National Hunt races each day Children under 12 years go FREE DJ during racing

Travelling to Limerick Racecourse

Limerick Racecourse is perfectly situated at Greenmount Park in Patrickwel­l, just 11km from Limerick City Centre. Follow signs for Limerick Racecourse which is situated just off Exit 4 of the M20 Motorway.

By Bus

FREE Bus service from Limerick city centre each day of the festival with Kelly Travel. The bus will depart outside Holmes O’Malley Sexton Solicitors on Henry Street, Limerick at the following times:

Departure time: 10:00am/10:40am/ 11:20am/12 noon

By Car

Follow signs for Limerick Racecourse which is situated at Exit 4 off the M20 Motorway. Parking is free at the racecourse.

By Train

Colbert Station in Limerick. Please check www.irishrail.ie for times. Patrons may avail of the compliment­ary shuttle bus service from Henry Street which is an 8-minute walk from the train station.

How long will it take me to get to the races: Limerick city: 15 minutes Cork city: 1 hour and 20 minutes Galway city: 1 hour and 20 minutes Waterford city: 2 hours

Additional Facilities

Free bus service to and from Limerick Racecourse. Limerick Racecourse is going green with Mr Binman, there will be multiple recycling and waste facilities on site, so please ensure you dispose of waste accordingl­y and let us all do our bit for the environmen­t!

There is free WiFi available throughout the grandstand.

Disability toilets and baby changing facilities available — please follow signs.

Tickets

All tickets are available to purchase online at www.limerickra­ces.ie

General admission tickets may also be purchased at the turnstile on race day. Discounted rates for Students/OAPs are available at the turnstile on raceday. Patrons can keep up to date on the Festival by following Limerick Racecourse on Facebook and Instagram and checking out www.limerickra­ces.ie
