Charleville Manor, a development launched last year in the south Dublin suburb of Knocklyon, takes its name from the neighbouring 19th-century Charleville House. Indeed, the small enclave of high-end properties is being developed on what were once the grounds of the Victorian protected structure.

The Norton Properties scheme of six homes is situated on the southern side of Firhouse Road, directly opposite Dodder Valley Park and between the Pine Grove and Lansdowne Park residential developments.

There are currently two homes for sale at Charleville Manor: the showhouse and its contents, which are selling are €750,000, and another property that’s priced from €695,000. Both are four-bed semi-detached houses with 2,002 sq ft of living space spread across three floors. Two further homes will be released at a later stage.

Like the eponymous Charleville House, the block-built houses that make up Charleville Manor have Victorian-style elements to their design, such as a gable front and granite to the window surrounds. But there are contemporary features, too, such as a zinc canopy over the front door and UPVC windows.

The ground floor has 9ft-high ceilings, marble tiling, and a travertine fireplace with an electric fire in the front living room. Dublin Kitchen Studios supplied the stone-grey matt lacquered kitchen units, which are fitted with a Silestone countertop, upstand and splashback.

Upstairs, all the bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, while the top-floor master bedroom suite comes with walk-in wardrobes. Viewings are by appointment.
