PINK SINK

The I Catini range of vanity units come from the Italian craftspeople at Cielo, the home of handmade ceramic wash basins. It has many variations — round, oval or double basins — and a choice of 16 muted colours. This one’s Blush. BAMBOOZLED

The Ivar storage system has been an Ikea workhorse for 50 years. Now you can tart-up your basic frame with new Ivar doors (42cm wide x 83cm high) made of pine and clear lacquered bamboo. PRIDE OF PLACE

With eye-catching piping, rainbow pompoms and each embroidered letter drop-shadowed in bright colours, it’s hard to see the Relax Cushion as relaxing. Maybe that’s the point. SITTING PRETTY

The Too Pretty To Sit On Sofa comes from the extrovert Dutch designers at Bold Monkey. It’s pretty damn stylish, comes in pink, ochre or a wildly uncivilised panther print, and costs a very civilised €1,108 (plus delivery) from cuckooland.com.

IN THE SHADE

The base of the Herstal lamp looks like weathered stone (it’s actually made from cast concrete) and costs €130 for a small base (20.50cm diameter) or €190 for the medium sized version (35cm). The lampshade is available separately (see neptune.ie).
