Romance hits home

Dan visits most loved-up couple

- BY JIM GALLAGHER

unknown to her, Michael had been thinking of his long-lost love around the same time.

He began ringing every woman with her name in the phone book and eventually tracked her down.

Moira explained: “We had not spoken to each other in 29 years.”

But she said they were soon chatting away and found that the old spark was still there.

She added: “I thought he was kind of cute still.

“You can’t keep two things apart which are meant to be together, like magnets.” On hearing the story, Majella says to Daniel: “I think that is one of the most romantic stories I’ve ever heard. It’s definitely more romantic than our Celeb couple enjoy a spot of falconry story.” “Is it?” Daniel asks. “Oh God, it is of course,” she replies.

Moira and Michael, who only opened their B&B (Anam Cara means “soul mates”) last March, took their celebrity guests on a falconry afternoon where Daniel, who doesn’t like birds, managed to overcome his fear.

ADVENTURE

Daniel and Majella travelled on to Dublin where they stayed at Aghadoe House, Botanic Road, Glasnevin, with Margaret and Eugene O’carroll.

And the adventures continued when they they took Daniel and Majella ski-bobbing – a bike with skis instead of wheels – at the Ski Club of Ireland dry slope in the Dublin Mountains.

Daniel & Majella’s B&B Road Trip is on RTE One on Tuesday at 8.30pm.
