Naomi: 47 and I don’t give a s ***

Supermodel all set for birthday bash to forget

Susan Sarandon opted for my fave look of the festival – silk PJS, fluffy slippers and a full face of make-up. The legend was at the L’oreal cinema showing of Thelma And Louise and said she hopes the film encourages people not to “settle” in relationships.

I can’t wait to rock that pyjama look. 1) What’s your typical day out in Cannes? I’ll have lunch at Hotel du Cap, then come into Cannes and do a movie premiere. I’ll go home, get changed, then go to a party. That’s when the madness begins. 2) What’s been your wildest night here? I was staying on a boat and woke in St Tropez. I remember opening my cabin window thinking “this isn’t Cannes”. I left all my luggage on the boat and just took my phone because I had to go to the Amfar party. It took me two days to get my luggage back. 3) How much booze do you drink? I limit myself to two glasses of champagne a night here. In my younger days, I used to go to all the clubs. I have to look after my dog, d’artagnan, as I’ve brought him from LA.

Julianne Moore and Michelle Williams were upstaged by their 13-year-old co-star at a party to celebrate their film Wonderstruck. Jaden Michael jumped on to the bar at Nikki Beach and started dancing at the swanky bash, as the girls cheered. Julianne, 56, told me she was having a “fabulous” Cannes. Rihanna swept on to the red carpet at Cannes looking positively bridal in this stunning floor-length gown. The 29-year-old star has made a number of appearances at the French film festival in a series of ultra-glam frocks. Here the singer was attending the Okja premiere in Dior. Halina and Naomi The supermodel has curated tonight’s Fashion For Relief annual bash in Cannes, where Kate Moss will strut down the catwalk for charity. Naomi tells me: “I don’t drink alcohol, I can have a great time without it. I couldn’t give a s*** about my birthday. Birthdays are more about the women who have you and that is my mother Valerie, so I think ‘it’s my birthday but my mother pushed me out on that day’. I’d like to have a good dance if I can though.” It’s a change from last year, when the flowers at her bash cost €12k. We caught up at the Five Seasons Hotel at the film festival. And since becoming more vocal on the refugee crisis, she says she will vote in next month’s election for the first time. “I was told not to be too political but I’ll be voting for the first time ever. I can’t say who for, though.”

All the celebs, including Bella Hadid and Rihanna, flocked to the Chopard party on Friday. Guests were served toothpaste tubes filled with chocolate at the space-themed bash as Bruno Mars sang. I’m told Bella “spent the night looking bored”.
