Pippa and Allanah get hitched on same day

IT may not have been a royal wedding but Miriam O’callaghan’s eldest daughter tied the knot in our own kingdom yesterday.

Barrister Allanah Mcgurk, 30, wed former Galway footballer Fiachra Breathnach, 30, in Kenmare, Co Kerry.

Allanah, who got engaged in April 2016, arrived at the Church of the Holy Cross in Kenmare in a green 1936 Buick.

The bride wore a silk gown with touches of lace paired with an extravagant veil. Her sisters, Jessica, Georgia and Clara, who acted as her bridesmaids donned pale pink floor-length dresses. The mother of the bride bucked tradition by not wearing a hat – however the Prime Time host still managed to turned heads in a stunning long red dress. She said: “I’ve no hat or headpiece. I’m not the type of person to wear a headpiece.” Allanah was walked down the aisle by her father, sports presenter Tom Mcgurk. news@irishmirror.ie
