RAF tackles Russian jets
TYPHOON jets were scrambled yesterday after two Russian planes entered British airspace.
The two fighters were launched from RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland.
The Ministry of Defence said: “Both returned safely to RAF Lossiemouth.”
Jets were sent to monitor two Russian bombers in February. And in January, HMS St Albans shadowed the Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov as it sailed close to British territorial waters.
