RAF tack­les Rus­sian jets

TYPHOON jets were scram­bled yes­ter­day af­ter two Rus­sian planes en­tered Bri­tish airspace.

The two fight­ers were launched from RAF Lossiemouth in Scot­land.

The Min­istry of De­fence said: “Both re­turned safely to RAF Lossiemouth.”

Jets were sent to mon­i­tor two Rus­sian bombers in Fe­bru­ary. And in Jan­uary, HMS St Al­bans shad­owed the Rus­sian air­craft car­rier Ad­mi­ral Kuznetsov as it sailed close to Bri­tish ter­ri­to­rial wa­ters.
