- BY EMMA MCMENAMY

Ciaran Smith FRESH searches are set to be carried out this weekend for the remains of the missing Rescue 116 crew.

The Irish Coast Guard copter crashed at Blackrock off the Mayo coast in March, killing all four on board – Capt Dara Fitzpatrick, Ciaran Smith, Mark Duffy and Paul Ormsby.

However, the remains of crewmen Paul Ormsby and Ciaran Smith have yet to be located.

Garda divers carried out a search earlier this week around the island. Specialist underwater cameras will now be deployed.

Garda Superintendent Tony Healy, who is leading the investigation, said the latest searches are focusing on areas that were not subject to detailed surveys earlier in the investigation.
