Tilly: ‘Surreal’ to meet mum in Eastenders

EASTENDERS star Tilly Keeper says it was “surreal” working with her on-screen mother Lucy Benjamin for the first time.

Lucy, 47, made a comeback in Walford on Friday as Lisa Fowler rushed to be with her daughter Louise Mitchell in hospital.

Tilly, 19, who has played Louise since last January said: “I’ve always wanted to meet Lucy. We had to get the relationship right straight away and we were just so comfortable together from the beginning, it just felt special.

“She was so incredible. I kind of had this ‘oh, that’s how you do it’ moment. It was a bit surreal.”

Lucy is back for a short stint. In the show, she hasn’t seen Louise for years. She said: “It’s going to be a rough few weeks.”
