Hip hop stars Run the show as 55,000 revellers soak up festival atmosphere
IT’S back to wellies, ponchos and muck at Electric Picnic as rain descended after a glorious start.
The three-day festival kicked off on Friday with sunshine but it was a different story last night as rain began pelting the festival in Stradbally, Co Laois.
Hip hop stars Run The Jewels helped fans forget the weather as they rocked out their hits.

Festival fit in a denim mini skirt and glittery eye make up, she said: “Electric Picnic and food are two of my favourite things, so it makes total sense to bring them together.”
The arts and music festival attracts a host of famous faces every year and Love/hate’s John Connors and Laurence Kinlan were spotted enjoying themselves in the VIP area while Baz Ashmawy, former Dragons’ Den stars Norah Casey, Ali Hewson and rugby stars Conor Murray and Denis Hickie also in attendance.
Famous exes Roz Purcell and Bressie were also spotted among the starstudded crowd, in separate groups. Elsewhere, actress Aoibhinn Garrihy was at a VIP Drinks reception at #3Disco to support sister Doireann , up against fellow Snapchatter James Kavanagh for a Lip Sync showdown.
