Jen’s agony over Gossip Girl role blow
Lawrence ACTOR Jennifer Lawrence was gutted to lose out on a role in TV series Gossip Girl as a teenager, it’s emerged.
The 27-year-old is the highest-paid female actor in Hollywood but her career might have taken a different path if her audition had gone better.
Show creator Josh Schwartz revealed: “We did not realise at the time, but Jennifer wanted to play Serena [van der Woodsen].
“We were told she auditioned and was really bummed not to get it.
“It was 10 years ago, and she would’ve been how old, 15?”
The role went to Blake Lively and Lawrence went on to find megastardom as Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games series. Rosie O’donnell
