Florals remedy for cold weather
WINTER florals are the perfect remedy for the cold and gloomy weather ahead. For AW17, dark blooms ruled supreme on the runways with designers such as Mary Katrantzou, Erdem and Simone Rocha putting the feminine floral frock firmly back on the fashion map.
Pretty chintzy fabrics were seen at Mulberry and chic monochrome at Rochas while Preen gave us a moodier palette with multi-coloured on black crepe.
For a statement winter floral look there is no need to be subtle and the high street is packed with bold flower-motif print dresses. Winter wedding invite? Turn heads
MOODY Preen by Thornton Bregazzi in Mango’s ethereal embossed flower gown (€99.95). Oriental influences are still big news for AW17, we love Zara’s leaf print midi dress, a steal at just €49.95 and Dorothy Perkins’ delicate pink frock (€60), which can be found at Dublin’s Jervis Shopping Centre. The iconic venue is celebrating its 21st birthday this month and is home to some of our other favourite high street stores such as M&S, New Look, Miss Selfridge, Bershka and Forever 21. Topshop, which is also at Jervis, hit two trends in one with the store’s floral print plunge dress that is in AW17’S hottest and most luscious fabric, velvet. demelza.deburca@ irishmirror.ie
