Ash backs Roo rush

ASHLEY YOUNG has warned his Manchester United team-mates that Wayne Rooney will return today looking for much more than an ovation from the fans.

The former England winger, now one of United’s longest-serving players following Rooney’s move back to Everton, insists that his former captain is far from being a spent force.

Young, who also had offers to leave the club, reckons Rooney is a man on a mission.

The 32-year-old said: “Wayne Rooney will always be a big danger. A lot has been said about him but he has not got legendary status for nothing.

“What we have got to do is concentrate.”
