ROSANNA: I’ve brains AND beauty

Celeb’s fight to show she has brains & beauty

- BY SIOBHAN O’CONNOR

ROSANNA Davison is heading back to college and told how it’s always been a struggle for people to accept she has brains and beauty.

The 31-year-old model turned nutritionist said her biological clock is ticking but her workaholic ethos is getting in the way of starting a family with hubby Wesley Quirke.

Setting her sights on doing a Masters degree in the UK, she admitted it might be a “crazy” move but she misses using her brain for studying.

Speaking to the Irish Sunday Mirror at the launch of Beautique Beauty Salon in Ballymount, Dublin, Rosanna said it’s always been a challenge proving she can use her looks and mind to get ahead.

She added: “People assume you’re not as intelligent as you are.

“It’s definitely always a struggle when you maybe want to make a career out of how you look and how your brain works.

“People find it hard to believe you do both or be a part of both areas.

“It’s always been a challenge for me to prove I can do both.”

The star graced the cover of Playboy Germany in 2014 and told how her beauty often means she’s pigeonholed.

GRUELLING

She said: “I think it’s a general society thing that people box you into a category and say well if you can make a living out of how you look then you certainly can’t make a living out of your brain.”

Heading back to college is something Rosanna’s keen on but she knows it will mean a gruelling schedule.

She said: “I’m probably crazy but I’m thinking of signing up to a Masters degree next year in nutrition with a university in the UK.

“But it’s distance learning so at the end of it, it’s university accredited, delving into sports and personalised nutrition, so it’s designed to help you work one on one with colleagues.

“I really want to go back to college, my brain misses studying when I’m not.”

Aware that time is ticking Rosanna insisted starting a family with Wes is top of her mind.

She said: “I’m definitely not getting any younger so I do need to think about it, every year that goes by I say I to myself I can cut back on work but I think I’m a bit of a workaholic.

“But then everyone says there’s no perfect time to plan it.”

The former Miss World turned health guru revealed she’s landed a lucrative dream job designing healthy recipes for a string of tropical hotel destinations including Madagascar.

She said: “I was away in Mauritius and the

Seychelles last week working on designing healthy eating and wellness recipes for a hotel group based in the Indian Ocean. “The Constance hotel group have hired me as a healthy eating and nutrition consultant for the next two years.” With her beautiful image emblazoned on each wellness menu, the group is rolling out the healthy fare in all of its main restaurants, spas and room service.

The jet-setter added: “We’ve been developing restaurants to tie in with what’s locally available using seasonal produce like coconuts and lovely fruit but it’s been an amazing project.” A culinary

TV show could next be on the cards but Rosanna insisted she’s not a trained cook and is mindful of her expertise.

She said: “I’d love to get on some of the networks who are specifically dedicated to food.

“But I’m not a professional chef so the chefs in the hotels make my food look and taste so much better than I do, I’m just coming from the nutritional side which is where my passion lies.

“I’d love to develop wellness retreats and bootcamps.”

Last week Rosanna opened up to the Irish Mirror about her thoughts on the legendary Hugh Hefner passing aged 91.

She revealed he was nothing but

I’m definitely not getting any younger so I do need to think about starting a family
