Comedy duo warn hopefuls as they land role on new series

With more than a million Youtube views, Britain’s Got Talent put the pair on the map but the star explained why such TV shows aren’t for everyone.

He added: “It’s a gimmick that worked for us, but it doesn’t work for everybody, especially if they’re vulnerable.”

The spandex-wearing duo bring their Absolute Legends show to the Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway tonight and they are in talks to star in their own TV series. Dad-of-one Cormac, from Cork, said: “We’re focusing on our stage show at the moment but there’s lots of ideas for a TV show and we’re in talks with different production companies.”

He revealed the pair have been hired by Ireland’s Got Talent, which starts in January on TV3, to perform sketches and he hopes 2008 and have been making audiences giggle with their characters Sean and Seamus.

They were inspired by delusional talent show acts. the Irish version of the franchise will nurture stars of the future. He added: “With Ireland’s Got Talent, we’re a small country. If they don’t treat people well it won’t last so it would be good if they highlighte­d the talent Ireland has got rather than telling them they should get better.” The dancer and comic cautioned against getting your hopes up when entering such shows. He said: “Dream big and set yourself achievable goals, a goal of going, ‘I want to stand on that stage and do my best’ then that’s great, but if you’re going to stand on that stage and think, ‘I’m going to win this thing’ then that’s the wrong attitude to have.” Cormac Mohally Cormac facing BGT judges
