HER RELENTLESS QUEST FOR FAME

SIX celebs had a high old time by walking the plank 330FT UP in a terrifying challenge.

Producers put a pair of planks on the roof of the Focus building on the Gold Coast yesterday and made the stars walk along it – 34 storeys above the beach below.

Coronation Street’s Jennie Mcalpine looked nervy but got to the end of the plank to hit the button in the opening challenge.

Hollyoaks’ Jamie Lomas and boxer Amir Khan looked focused as they took part along with singer Vanessa White, Youtube’s Jack Maynard and Made in Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo.

Also yesterday, ex-footballer Dennis Wise and comic Shappi Khorsandi pulled off a skydive.

And Rebekah Vardy and Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson’s dad Stanley put their hands in among creepy crawlies.

The challenges were completed before the 10 contestants entered camp.

Co-host Ant Mcpartlin had earlier marked his 42nd birthday with cakes from the crew at the nearby Versace hotel, where the celebs stay after their ordeal.

He has suffered painkiller addiction and a show source said: “Ant has been through a lot and is just happy to be back with Dec.”

Labour chief Jeremy Corbyn says the party’s former Scottish leader Kezia Dugdale, 36, should not be suspended for flying out to join the show. Labour’s former First Minister Henry Mcleish has urged her to reconsider.
