He denies allegation of sliding hand down woman’s skirt at VIP club night

John Leslie Lovebirds run into each other Hands-off Zoe beams on day out now decided to prosecute. A source close to Leslie said: “He’ll be devastated as he was insistent evidence would prove his innocence. He had planned to relaunch his television career, but this will crush those plans.” The sexual assault is alleged to have taken place while Leslie and the woman were at Edinburgh’s Atik club in June.
They were at a VIP night to celebrate the venue’s relaunch after a refurbishment. Leslie is understood to be a regular at the club, where he has performed as a DJ. The woman was reportedly a hen party guest.
The trial is due to be held in spring at Zoe and Michael Edinburgh Sheriff Court and will be decided by a sheriff alone without a jury.
In November Leslie said: “I totally deny the allegation. I have not done anything wrong.”
His solicitor Mark Harrower previously said he believed CCTV footage from the club would clear his client.
Leslie dated Hollywood actress Catherine Zeta-jones and glamour model Abi Titmuss during the 80s and 90s.
He later quit TV and established a career in property development.
In July, he turned down €500,000 to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.
