Pub kicks out Sikh because of his turban
A SIKH law student was “dragged” out of a bar for wearing a turban after being told that all headgear was banned.
Amrik Singh, 22, was ejected from Rush Late Bar in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, early yesterday.
He said he told the bouncer wearing a turban was part of his religion.
“It really upset me. My ancestors fought for the British Army,” said Amrik, of Nuneaton, Warwickshire, who is at Nottingham Trent university.
Rush Late Bar said a member of security staff has been suspended.
It added it was “absolutely not” its policy to ban Sikhs wearing turbans.
