€6m windfall for dope row cycling chief

- BY ALAN SELBY

Brailsford CYCLING chief Sir Dave Brailsford and partner Lisa Buckle will share a windfall of almost €6million – as he battles doping claims.

Team Sky’s boss Sir Dave, 54, filed documents at Companies House last month to close his personal company, Brailsford Ltd.

A solvency statement shows €5.94million will be freed up for the couple.

Early this week MPS on the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport committee alleged Team Sky abused anti-doping rules before Sir Bradley Wiggins’ 2012 Tour de France victory.

Team Sky and Sir Bradley, 37, strongly deny all the allegations.

Sir Dave failed to respond this week as he faced several calls to resign as head of Team Sky. Melanie Brown
