High voltage secrets of the stars Corden: I lived as a rabbit for ten days!

He goes full method for Peter role

-

He admits that to perfect the part of Peter Rabbit he turned to a diet of carrots and lettuce – and even slept in a hutch.

James, 39, tells me: “I’m Daniel Day-lewis, let’s be honest. I lived as a rabbit for about 10 days, I slept in a hutch outside, I lived on a diet of carrots and lettuce.”

As if I wouldn’t believe him, James chomped on a carrot all the way through our chat.

And he adds: “I actually got facial reconstruction surgery, which I’ve only just recovered from, such is my commitment to being the rabbit, you know.” Yes, I know ....

Unfortunately his kids aren’t impressed.

He says: “I thought this would be the coolest thing in the world but they are like, ‘Yeah, whatever dad, sure’. None of that stuff is impressive to them.” Turning serious, the dad-of-three hopes his children will experience equal pay for all. Now that would be cool. He adds: “I’m hoping my children will grow up in a world where whoever you are, irrespective of race, gender, sexuality, that you would be paid the same, that you would be treated the same. “What you can’t look for, and what it shouldn’t be, is that this is a specific thing to Hollywood or the entertainment industry. “This is something that is affecting everybody.” Last year James had to apologise after making jokes about the Harvey Weinstein scandal. Now he says: “I think you want to be sensitive to everything.” Those are the wise old words of a rabbit...

Hollywood has ditched the dollar for, er, cryptocurrency. At The Hollywood Stars Gala they gave away a million W1 Coins, an entertainment based currency. Goldie Hawn, Lady Victoria Hervey and other stars are mad for it.
