Whirlwind week for shy star Frances
Frances Mcdormand had a rollercoaster week when her Oscar was stolen after she won it.
And her sister Dorothy, 70, says she finds the fame game “disconcerting”. Speaking from her home in Pittsburgh, Dorothy tells me: “It had been a bit of a whirlwind but she was OK.” She continues: “To her it isn’t about fame or being popular. She is an introvert in that way. I think that’s a little disconcerting because she sees her acting as a profession.” Fellow partygoer Terry Bryant, 78, could face up to three years behind bars for allegedly stealing the gong. What an awful hangover.
