Memories of Di as princes wait at altar

- BY ALAN SELBY

PRINCES William and Harry shared loving memories of their mum Diana as they waited at the altar.

In a touching moment William asked Harry if he remembered something Diana had told them.

Harry smiled and replied: “Yeah... I know.”

A lip-reader who studied footage translated special moments caught on film but out of earshot.

With Meghan just moments away from the chapel, Harry said to William: “I can’t believe there is so much going on.” He added: “Okay, let’s do it.” As Prince Charles took Meghan’s arm to accompany her up the aisle he told her she looked lovely. He added: “Are you okay?” At the altar, Harry said to his father: “Thank you, Pa.”

Beaming Harry then told Meghan: “You look amazing. I am totally stunned.”

They held hands throughout the ceremony and Harry whispered “You look cute” and “I love you”.

After the ceremony Prince William said to Prince Charles: “Did you see the look on his face when she came in?”

He mimicked the stunned look that was written across Harry’s face, before adding: “He was just staring. It was absolutely amazing.”

When the couple emerged from the chapel Meghan said: “Oh my goodness. This is just amazing”.

They kissed, then Meghan gasped: “Oh that was so beautiful. So perfect. I am just so emotional.”
