England Cro for it!

GALWAY GAA has written to FIFA requesting a change to the kick-off time for the World Cup final next Sunday to avoid a clash with the Tribesmen’s All-ireland clash with Kerry.

The cheeky letter to President Gianni Infantino asks the governing body to move the game from 4pm to 6pm.

Galway’s clash with Kerry at Croke Park in the first round of the Super 8s starts at the same time as FIFA’S showpiece event.

And the county argues a change is needed to allow fans to support their county before watching the World Cup final.

The letter says: “Gianni, a chara. I write to formally request you consider delaying the kick-off in your final on Sunday week, from 4pm to 6pm.

“As it stands your final clashes with Galway v Kerry in the All-ireland senior football quarter-final phase 1, which will throw in at Croke Park at 4pm and will finish at 5.25pm, with no extra-time to be played.

“If this clash is not addressed by FIFA then your worldwide audience will be diminished as many supporters will give priority to attending and watching the Galway v Kerry game.”

GALWAY GAA has asked FIFA to change the kick-off time for the World Cup final.

They want to avoid a clash with their big match against Kerry at Croke Park on Sunday.

FIFA must think the GAA has gone GAGA.
