€20k reward to catch BBC DJ attacker

- BY GERARD COUZENS

HOSPITAL Jimmy Carol A €20,000 reward is being raised to find the man who punched an EX-BBC radio host, fracturing his skull.

Jimmy Carol, 63, was knocked out after standing up to a group of men who were harassing women in a bar in Benidorm.

Friends said actors from ITV comedy Benidorm are among those backing the reward appeal to help find his six-foot attacker who wore a red England top.

His son James said doctors told him he only had “slim chances of pulling through” due to clots and bleeding, but the Radio Sheffield star, from Burscough, Lancs, moved his lips when friends visited on Friday.

He said: “He tried to smile when they told him I was coming from Brazil to be with him.” Alan and Aimee
