Street attack victim is left seriously ill
A MAN is in a serious condition after being attacked yesterday morning.
The man, believed to be 27, was taken to University Hospital Waterford following the assault and later transferred to Cork University Hospital.
He sustained head injuries during the incident in Waterford and his condition is described as serious.
The attack occurred around 3am in the city centre, at the junction of John Street and The Manor.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward with information.
