Lulu: I won’t Shout about turning 70...
Singer Lulu LEGENDARY singer Lulu celebrated her 70th birthday yesterday.
The Scot admitted earlier in the year she had no plans to have an extravagant bash as she isn’t “a party person”.
Lulu, known for hits like Shout, said: “Elton John and David Furnish threw me a big one for my 60th, but I’m not going to have a big 70th.”
Born Marie Mcdonald Mclaughlin Lawrie in Stirlingshire, the star has had 10 UK Top 10 singles – and her most recent album was 2015’s Making Life Rhyme.
She recorded the theme tune for James Bond film The Man With The Golden Gun and represented Britain at the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest.
