Ferry call as hub bid sinks

CALLS have been made to bring a historic ferry route back after failed plans to turn a harbour into a digital technology hub.

Developer Philip Gannon scrapped the deal after it was discovered the Dun Laoghaire Harbour Company had failed to secure a foreshore licence to lease the building.

Local Senator Victor Boyhan has urged Minister Shane Ross TD to “explore all possible means to re-establish a ferry service”.
