SOME might say it’s a mission impossible, but here’s Tom Cruise back in the saddle more than 30 years after he first filmed Top Gun – and he’s STILL getting the girl.

The actor, 56, has reprised his role as fighter pilot Pete Mitchell for Top Gun: Maverick, long-awated sequel to the 1986 blockbuster with the unforgettable theme tune Take My Breath Away.

Tom was snapped on set wearing his character’s flying jacket and shades exactly as he did as a 24-year-old. He also takes his female co-star for a spin on a new superbike. But while Tom’s clinging on to his youth, some things have changed. Beautiful Mind star

With Kelly in 1986 film Jennifer Connelly, 47, has replaced Kelly Mcgillis, now 61, who played Charlie in the original.

So, just like the bikes, it looks like Tom’s leading ladies can always be traded in for a younger model.
