‘There’s a lot Mour to come’

- BY CHRIS HATHERALL

LUCAS MOURA has promised Tottenham fans they have yet to see the best of him as he bids to rescue their Champions League bid.

Moura has been a revelation this season, after a slow start to his Spurs career when he struggled to come to terms with the Premier League following a £25million January move from Paris St Germain.

In fact, he managed only one goal in five months after landing in north London – in an FA Cup tie against Rochdale.

This term, however, the Brazilian winger looks on fire and has already grabbed four goals, including a strike in Tottenham’s 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven in their last European tie.

But that result, however, has heaped pressure on the Spurs squad if they want to reach the knockout stage – having already lost to Barcelona at home and Inter Milan away in Group B.

“We have to keep believing,” insisted Moura, whose side sit third in the group, five points behind second spot with only three games to go. “It’s not impossible, we just need to believe we can do it and not give up.

“I will certainly do everything I can. I feel like I’m playing well this season but I still don’t think the Tottenham fans have seen the best of me yet.

“I am very demanding of myself and I always want to improve.

“I think there is still a way to go before you see the best Lucas Moura possible. But I’m working for it!”
