Rockett’s review

-

Just when I thought Kate looked like a goner, she comes back with a light, bright quickstep in full bridal regalia and got her best score yet. She and Aljaz might just make it to Blackpool. Score: 30 Chill out Danny! Trying far too hard with this samba. He and Amy didn’t make mistakes but it wasn’t very relaxed. Felt more like a dance exam. He really wants it – maybe a bit too much. Score: 27

Barefoot and looking like the professional dancer she is, Ashley’s contemporary dance with Pasha was perfect. I’m not keen on all the angst-ridden facial expressions but it was flawless. Score: 39

Great fun, Graeme! He’s daring, charismatic and very watchable. He gave this salsa his all. I hope he and Oti get to Blackpool. They are entertaining and he never takes himself too seriously. Score: 31

The Gorgeous Moon River by Audrey Hepburn really suited Stacey’s style. She showed pure class with a complex waltz. She’s natural, genuine and looked perfectly ease in Kevin’s arms. Score: 32

A super-fast super-cool jive to Jackie Wilson’s Reet Petite. I loved this dance. Faye easily kept up with Giovanni matching him move for move. I’m with Bruno. It would have been a 10 from me too. Score: 36 Lots of slightly camp shimmying and funny facial expressions made for quite an amusing samba with Dianne. Not his best dance but as bouncy as Tigger. Joe’s in no danger of going home soon. Score: 32

Daring Lauren never holds back from risky moves. Her trust in AJ is total and there is a chemistry between them. Her romantic and brave Viennese waltz should see her reach Blackpool. Score: 34 Cool as a cucumber, Charles and Karen delivered a hip hop style charleston that won him a standing ovation. Not as cheeky and cheesy as usual but the judges liked it because of it. Score: 35
