EST IS THE BEST Meade star to improve and claim Grade 2 prize

-

impressed since joining Noel Meade’s team.

This six-year-old, who also has a Gold Cup entry, began his season with a dominant success in a Galway handicap chase.

He then tackled the Troytown Chase at Navan where he disposed of a very competitive field to record a comfortable four and a half lengths triumph.

That Navan display has moved Tout Est Permis on to a rating of 150 and that leaves him with something to find against a few of these.

However, Meade’s charge can do better still and he will have no issues with the good ground which might not be ideal for one or two of these.

Mullins can capture the most valuable event of the weekend with his Camelia De Cotte the choice in the Order Of St George Coolmore NH Sires Irish EBF Mares Novice Chase.

This Grade 2 event hasn’t attracted a vintage field and the Mullins mare will take some beating as she looks to make it five wins from six starts over fences.

She comes here off two black type triumphs and she was a very easy winner of a Grade 3 at Cork last month.

The longer trip of this race won’t be a problem and she can see off Ellie Mac who wasn’t beaten all that far by Le Richebourg in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown last month.

Only four horses go to post in the novice hurdle where a hopeful vote goes to Henry de Bromhead’s Cool Saint.

She has only run three times so has plenty of room for improvement and she landed quite a gamble when scoring at Limerick over Christmas.

Cool Saint is chosen ahead of First Approach who was only beaten eight and a half lengths in a Grade 1 last time but never looked like playing a leading role. Like An Open Book is a consistent mare who likes Thurles.

She ran well over this course and distance last month and might go a couple of places better with a clear run.

The Holy One has been a very frustrating horse to follow but at his best he would surely be able to win the opening maiden hurdle.
