SPURS ARE £50M KEEN ON BROOKS

MANCHESTER CITY v ARSENAL

TOTTENHAM are preparing a £50million summer bid for 21-year-old Bournemouth midfield sensation David Brooks to head off interest from a host of other clubs – including Manchester United.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino was aware last season of the Wales star (left), who is in the running to be crowned PFA Young Player of the Year, but is currently out for a month with an ankle injury. But the Cherries nipped in last summer with a successful £11.5m offer to Sheffield United for Brooks – and there have been questions asked within Tottenham’s scouting unit as to why Spurs didn’t harden its interest sooner. ARSENAL are keeping tabs on Paris Saint-germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot (below) who is available on a free transfer this summer. Gunners boss Unai Emery worked with Rabiot for two years at PSG and remains a big fan of the 23-year-old. Tottenham and Liverpool are also interested in bringing him to the Premier League when his contract runs out but Emery believes that the Gunners could have the edge.
