I’m a big Beatles fan and have their Limited Edition Box Set. This contains the complete collection and has a hologram on the front of the box. Is it worth a Fab Four-tune? Gillian Lewin, via email HMV’S 1987 boxset of CDS was limited to 10,000 sets and came in a black box with a drawer compartment, a 60-page booklet, poster and instruction sheet. These aren’t too common and decent sets, catalogue number BEA CDBOX, usually fetch €200.
QAI have terracotta pots of TV’S Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men – plus a smiling Little Weed. No packaging, but in great condition. Can you put a value on them? Michael Worseley, Gravesend, Kent The 1950s radio Beatles CD set series went to TV in the 1960s and had a cult following – and was reimagined for a new audience recently. The flowerpot men spoke in gibberish... a bit like Brexit politicians! For instance, the men’s greeting “Flobadob, Little Weed” was met with the response “Weeeed”. See what I mean? Your figures are quite rare, particularly if they are the Sacul-made toys. A full set, with the original box, would cost €500 to €700 – but less, obviously, without the box.
