Measles hits highest rate for decade
Measles on the rise The number of measles cases in Europe has tripled, according to scientists.
Between 2017 and 2018 the World Health Organisation recorded 82,596 cases, which is the highest number recorded this decade.
Although vaccination rates are improving, there were 72 deaths from the infectious viral illness in Europe in 2018 compared with 42 in 2017.
