A long-awaited spinoff from crime drama

will see the return of investigator Julien Baptiste. He will follow the lawman – last seen going for brain tumour surgery at the end of the show’s second series – on a new assignment. Baptiste is pulled into another missing persons case while visiting Amsterdam. Tom Hollander stars as Antwerpbased expat Edward, whose missing niece is believed to be a prostitute working in the Dutch capital. Baptiste (played by Tcheky Karyo, above,) is brought on board by his ex-girlfriend to solve the mystery. Karyo said: “Julien is very dear to me, so I’m excited to be following his journey to Amsterdam and seeing what dark secrets he unveils this time. Baptiste will debut on BBC One next Sunday at 9pm.
