Leeds teen in collapse shock
LEEDS teenager Jack Clarke was taken to hospital during yesterday’s Championship game at Middlesbrough after collapsing in the dug-out.
The 18-year-old was substituted at half-time, but then taken ill after the break. He was attended by medics, who gave him oxygen before carrying him on a stretcher to an ambulance.
Clarke, a Tottenham target, was fully conscious when he arrived at James Cook Hospital. He was kept in overnight for a series of tests.
The incident led to a seven-minute stoppage, and Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa said: “What we know is that Jack didn’t feel well. We don’t really know the reasons yet.
“After feeling bad, he recovered and, when he was taken to the dressing room, he was better.”
